After nearly 45 years of leadership, innovation, and dedication to the housewares industry, GC Buying Group announces the retirement of Founder and President, Janis Johnson. Johnson, who has been the driving force behind the organization since its inception, leaves a legacy of building the most trusted and influential buying group in the industry. Stepping into this new chapter, longtime GC member and industry veteran Doug Huemoeller has purchased the group and will lead the team into the future. A familiar face to many, Huemoeller is the former owner of Kitchen Window, a premier Minneapolis, MN housewares store, and a past member of the GC staff. Read More
